On May 10, 2010, we will be casting our votes and we can't just risk the top leadership position of our nation for another six years to someone we barely even know.
This nation does no longer deserve another president who will compromise integrity for his or her (emphasis intended) political gain. We cannot just watch and wait for another six year of mediocrity in the government. Let us practice our right to vote because through this, electing our officials, we practice democracy at one of its finest forms.
UP Big Boto is a project of the UPLB University Student Council which aims to educate us, voters, with the platforms and background of the presidential aspirants and more importantly, to reinforce whether or not our choice, even if it was made months ago or just this very moment, will best fit the position.
Along with the UPBB Fan Page, the USC will hold a commitment campaign as we ask for your thumb marks at our booth in One Caldi Place, Boston Cafe. Your mark of commitment will signify that you will not engage in vote buying or any other forms of election fraud. These individuals are also expected to be vigilant citizens who will ensure that efforts toward cheating on the election will be reported to proper authority and that the sanctity of votes will be preserved.
As a treat to those who participated, each thumb mark will entitle a person a Boston Cafe Discount Voucher which they can use at One Caldi Place.
It's never too late to rethink your vote.
It's never too late to ensure that your mandate as individual will be given to the rightful aspirant
And it's never too late to participate.
